SKIP BIN FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Well, that all depends on what you need it for. If you’re just looking to get rid of your garden waste, a small bin is probably enough. You can get a regular skip bin hire starting as low as $57.70 per cubic meter, which is a pretty good deal! But if you’re looking to get rid of a few broken appliances or a massive pile of junk, you may have to shell out a bit more.

We’re open every week from 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday, and 7am to 12pm on Saturdays. Unfortunately, we’re closed on Sundays for some much-needed rest and relaxation, so you’ll have to wait until Monday to get your bin delivered.

The regular hire period is seven days, but if you finish with the skip bin earlier, we’ll be more than happy to come and collect it for you. If you need the bin for longer, just let us know at least 24 hours before the original pick up date, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

Delivery times will vary depending on how many deliveries we have on the day. To avoid disappointment, it’s best to give us at least 24 hours notice before you need the skip bin to be delivered. If you’d like to be around when it arrives, we can give you a call half an hour before it’s due to arrive.

We accept payment via cash, Eftpos, credit card and Afterpay, so you can choose whichever option suits you best.

Absolutely! When appropriate waste is collected, it’s directed to recycling facilities to be reused and repurposed. We do our best to reduce our environmental impact.

We service all the surrounding areas around Pinjarra, Mandurah and Rockingham, so if you’re in one of those areas, we’ve got you covered.

When filling a skip bin, efficiency is key! Skips can be filled to the top of the bin only – any higher and you risk overloading the bin. This can be dangerous and can create OHS concerns, so we kindly ask that you stick to the maximum limit.

Our drivers will not take an overloaded bin. If you’ve accidentally filled it past the height of the bin, the driver may (if possible) remove the excess items and place them next to the bin. But if they can’t do this, the bin will have to stay put until the items are removed. Additional transport charges may apply.

As a rule of thumb, we like to book bins at least 24 hours in advance. But if you need it sooner, we may be able to deliver a bin on the same day – it all depends on bin availability, delivery location and the time of day. For weekend and public holiday hire, we suggest placing any bookings earlier as demand usually increases.

If you’ve filled the bin and need it collected sooner than the original pick up date, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.

It can be tricky to estimate the size of bin you need, so the best way to do it is to imagine your rubbish in a pile and then calculate the volume. Multiply the length, width and height of the pile to get an estimate of the bin volume for your rubbish. For example, if your pile is 1.6m x 1.8m x 1.3m, that’s approx. 3.75 cubic metres – so you’ll need a 4 cubic metre bin.

We’ll usually try and place the bin within your property, like the driveway or front lawn. But if that’s not possible, we can place it on the nature strip as long as it doesn’t block pedestrian access. Some Councils may require a permit, so just let us know when you book the bin.

The maximum load that we accept per bin is approx 500kg per cubic metre. If you think you’ll be needing more than that, just let us know when you book the bin as additional fees may apply.
